The LCB focuses on the needs of Palm Beach County’s transportation disadvantaged population, specifically older adults, persons with disabilities, persons of low income and children at-risk. The primary responsibilities of the LCB are to plan for and evaluate the paratransit service provided by Palm Tran Connection, the local Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC) for Palm Beach County. The LCB meets on a quarterly basis and reviews price and service levels, safety concerns, eligibility and other pertinent issues. The LCB is currently looking to fill the following vacant member positions: Representative for the Elderly, Florida Department of Veteran's Affairs, and Florida Department of Education or Vocational Rehab.
