Tri-Rail Increases Train Service
Tri-Rail has made a third incremental increase to its schedule since the pandemic. Tri-Rail currently has 35 trains on weekdays, and 18 trains on weekends and holidays. Fares will be reinstated starting Oct. 1. Click for details.

2021 Safe Streets Summit Goes Virtual

National Work Zone Traffic Management & Safety
Virtual Conference - Sep. 17
Registration is free for this two-hour virtual event from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Sep. 17, hosted by the National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse. Topics include "Connected Work Zones" and "Commercial Motor Vehicle Crashes in Work Zones." This event is part of the biennial Work Zone Traffic Management and Safety Conference which has been postponed until March 15-17, 2021. Register here.

Innovators for Inclusive Design Challenge
Applications Due Oct. 30
This national prize competition conducted by the U.S. Department of Transportation aims to make future automated vehicles more accesible to people with disabilities. Innovative design solutions are sought that will help individuals with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities to use automated vehicles to access jobs, healthcare, and other essential services. Stage 1 of the program will award $300,000 to each of up to ten semifinalists. Click to learn more.

The third annual statewide Mobility Week is an annual collection of events intended to bring attention to safe multimodal transportation choices. I-95 and Indiantown Rd. Construction Closures

Public Participation Plan - 2020 Update
In Oct. 2017, the TPA Governing Board adopted a major update to the TPA's Public Participation Plan (PPP). The PPP is reviewed annually and updated as needed after a public review and comment period. Relatively minor updates are proposed for adoption by the TPA Governing Board at their meeting to be held on Sep. 17. Click to review the draft PPP and complete an online public comment form. While legally authorized, the TPA is hosting virtual meetings in combination with in-person meetings at the TPA office. Details to join each meeting are available at PalmBeachTPA.org/Virtual-Meetings. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in multiple ways, including completing online comment forms in advance or during each meeting.
