Draft List of Priority Projects
The TPA must annually adopt a list of transportation system priority projects and transmit the list to FDOT for use in developing the next draft Five-Year Work Program and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). July TPA Meetings
July TPA meetings are being held as combinations of virtual and in-person meetings, with limited opportunity for the public to attend in person at the TPA office to allow for social distancing.
The public may also participate through the Zoom platform, or watch a live simulcast at PalmBeachTPA.org/LIVE or recorded videos of past virtual meetings. I-95 at Woolbright Rd. (Boynton Beach)
FDOT announces the following events to review the PD&E Alternatives:

SR A1A / Haven Ashe Bridge Maintenance Project
Over the Boca Raton Inlet
Construction to begin August 1, for a maximum of 60 days. Vehicular traffic will be detoured during a full bridge closure, while marine traffic will be maintained through the navigable waterway.
FDOT Virtual Public Meeting to be held July 23 to include presentations followed by Q&A to begin at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with an unguided slide show from 5:30–6:00 PM. Click for details.
West Atlantic Ave. at I-95 (Delray Beach)
A new configuration for westbound Atlantic Ave. traffic approaching I-95 began July 13. The northernmost, or far right, lane just west of NW 12th Ave. has been designated exclusively as an entrance ramp to access northbound or southbound I-95. This is part of the I-95 interchange modifications at Atlantic Ave. from the El Rio Canal to NW 12th Ave.
95 Express Phase 3B-1
July 16 will be the final night of I-95 southbound overnight closures between SW 10th St. and Sample Rd. for overhead sign structure installation. This project will extend the High Occupancy Toll lanes in Broward and Palm Beach counties to south of Glades Rd. to include two Managed lanes in each direction.
Atlantic Avenue PD&E Study Begins
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four has begun a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for Atlantic Avenue (SR 806) from Florida's Turnpike to Jog Road, a distance of less than two miles west of Delray Beach.

Part 3: Next Steps
This closing session will discuss the planned efforts of U.S.DOT and leading safety stakeholders to address pedestrian safety. This dialogue will gather input from safety professionals regarding opportunities and challenges in improving pedestrian safety, as well as successes and lessons learned which will help to inform future actions. We will revisit the U.S.DOT Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, providing attendees an opportunity to submit feedback and will include closing remarks from FHWA’s Administrator, Nicole R. Nason and NHTSA’s Deputy Administrator, James C. Owens.

The League of American Bicyclists - formed in 1880 - solicits applications to designate Bicycle Friendly Communities. They state, "A BFC welcomes bicyclists by providing safe accommodations for bicycling and encouraging people to bike for transportation and recreation. Making bicycling safe and convenient are keys to improving public health, reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality and improving quality of life."
