The Palm Beach TPA will again be a Patron supporter and exhibitor at the 26th annual GIS Expo to be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The Expo is a gathering of more than 600 members of south Florida's GIS community to foster collaboration, coordination, networking, education and training. The Expo is organized by the Palm Beach Countywide GIS Forum, a nonprofit organization of geospatial professionals. Go to sfgisexpo.com for details of this free event. Transforming Traffic Signal Boxes into Public Art

|"Outside the Box" is a call to artists of diverse media to transform ordinary traffic signal boxes into three-dimensional artworks. Palm Beach County Art in Public Places will commission up to 36 student, emerging, and professional artists based in Palm Beach County to create art inspired by contemporary and historical attributes of Palm Beach County's Lake Region. The Lake Region includes the cities and unincorporated areas surrounding Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay. It is a unique opportunity for artists to exhibit art outdoors in the public realm when graphic images are digitally translated onto vinyl and applied to public infrastructure to enhance streetscapes. Port of Palm Beach Presentation
On August 20, TPA staff members Nick Uhren, Andrew Uhlir and Malissa Booth met at the Port of Palm Beach with Port staff representatives Carl Baker, Tacaria Anderson Jones, Yaremi Farinas, Aaron Hoffman, and Jarra Kaczwara (left to right below). The meeting included a TPA overview presentation and discussion of projects on which the TPA and Port can work together. The Port of Palm Beach is represented on the TPA Governing Board by Commissioner Joseph Anderson, and on the TPA Technical Advisory Committee by Aaron Hoffman and Carl Baker.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend all meetings of these Boards and committees, as well as ad hoc committee meetings or workshops publicly noticed on PalmBeachTPA.org. They will be given opportunities to ask questions or make comments on any agenda item, or to offer general comments that are relevant to the mission and responsibilities of the TPA.
