
Save Time and Money! Bike to SunFest - May 3-6

For the fourth year, the TPA will support the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) which operates a free, secure bike valet service outside a main SunFest entrance gate at Clematis St. Ride a bike from home, office, a public parking facility or from a Tri-Rail or Brightline train. Dodge Traffic congestion and parking issues to join more than 175,000 festival goers who will make their way into downtown for the state's largest music and arts festival. The TPA will provide safety items to bicyclists that include headlights, taillights, bike bells and reflective drawstring backpacks.

US-1 Multimodal Corridor Study Update

A Draft report is now available for the TPA's year-long multimodal study of 42 miles of US-1 in Palm Beach County. Study of Turnpike Widening Begins
The Florida Dept. of Transportation (FDOT), Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, recently began a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the widening of a 37-mile stretch of the Turnpike from Jupiter (Indiantown Rd.) in northern Palm Beach County, through Martin County, to Fort Pierce (Okeechobee Rd./ State Road 70) in St. Lucie County. Draft Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP)

The federally required Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) serves as the Palm Beach TPA's budget and business plan for a two-year period. It sets forth planned activities and programs in support of the TPA's goals. The Draft UPWP will be considered for adoption by the Palm Beach TPA Governing Board at their regularly scheduled meeting of May 17, 2018. Draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The Draft UPWP for Fiscal Years 2019-2023 will be presented to the TPA Governing Board on May 17 for information and discussion. The Board will adopt a final TIP on June 21.

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a staged program encompassing a five-year period consisting of all regionally significant transportation improvements to all modes of travel in Palm Beach County.
The TIP is updated annually and identifies projects for maintaining and improving the transportation system funded by Federal, State, and local sources.
The TIP is based on and reflects the Florida Dept. of Transportation's Work Program for Palm Beach County, and generally moves forward the projects in the time frame from previous TIPS.
