Safe Streets Summit Awards Nominations Due Dec. 15
The Safe Streets Awards are an opportunity to highlight individuals and jurisdictions that have led by example in creating better streets for all users in Palm Beach, Broward or Miami-Dade counties. One Complete Streets Champion Award winner and one Complete Streets Community Award winner will be selected for each county.
Nominations are also sought for the People's Choice Award for the best complete Streets focused project, to be selected by attendees. People's Choice Award nominees may have the opportunity to participate in a poster session to display project materials and photos.

Mayor Maria Marino Featured in ITE Magazine
||TPA Governing Board Member Maria Marino, Mayor of Palm Beach Gardens, wrote an article featured in the December 2017 issue of ITE magazine, published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers. She provides the perspective of a mayor after attending the ITE Annual Meeting and Exhibit in Toronto, ON, Canada. TPA Executive Director Nick Uhren also attended the meeting which was held July 30-Aug. 2, 2017. Click for the article which appears on page 26.
2018 Human Services Transportation Summit - Feb. 20
The Florida District of Transportation District Four has announced an upcoming summit to feature guest speakers and breakout sessions to identify barriers and propose solutions to better coordinate transportation services for persons who are dependent on shared-ride or public transportation. SUN Trail Funding Applications Due Dec. 15
The Florida Dept. of Transportation is soliciting new proposals for funding Regional Trail System and Individual Trail projects through the Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail Program. Projects programmed for this cycle will be funded as early as Fiscal Years 2023-2024. Proposed projects must be included in the TPA's annual List of Priority Projects.
