Bicycle-Trailways-Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BTPAC)

BTPAC 2/6/2020The Bicycle-Trailways-Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BTPAC) is responsible for advising and informing the TPA Board regarding bicycle and pedestrian issues in Palm Beach County.

The committee is charged with recommending projects and policies that advance the non-motorized goals and objectives within the TPA's vision, including:

  • Eliminating traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries involving pedestrians and/or bicyclists,
  • Growing the miles of excellent bicycle and pedestrian facilities, especially around transit hubs, elementary schools and traditionally underserved communities, and
  • Progressing toward the TPA's aspirational mode split target of 15% for walking and biking.

Committee meetings are held on the first Thursday of most months and begin at 9:00 AM. Check the website calendar and the links below for specific meeting details including ways to join virtually or view a live simulcast or recorded video. Meetings held in person are located at the TPA office, 301 Datura St., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Meeting agendas and backup information are posted in advance of each meeting.

The Committee's operating procedures are found in Section 5 of the TPA Operating Procedures

The Palm Beach TPA Governing Board and Advisory Committee Handbook summarizes the roles and responsibilities of the Board and each of its advisory committees.
